Amba Badod Village is named after an ancient temple which is located inside the Reserve Forest land and dedicated to Goddess Durga as Amba Mata. The community has been conserving the Reserve Forest land ever since the Village itself came into existence. Lately, grazing and demand for fuel wood has led to degradation of the forest cover in the region. After rethinking the existing methods of forest conservation the community designed slogans and wall paintings urging prudent use of forest resources as conservation measures.
