Brahmani Devi Community Conservation Area is maintained by the people of Badabhuinee Village. Most of the people in the Village are engaged in agriculture, forest resources are used by the Villagers to supplement this primary livelihood. The Brahmani Devi forest area had been reduced to a dilapidated state due to indiscriminate felling of trees by timber mafias and Villagers. Realising the need for conservation, the community took on the responsibility to protect the forest and started discussing conservation related issues in general body meetings. There is a cave (called Barahakhola) in the forests which the Villagers have fervent religious leanings towards.
