The Dangariguha Community Conserved Area is forest land with both khesra forest and Kanamanjura reserve forest. The drive for protection was initiated by the Villagers themselves. The community relies on agriculture and livestock for their sustenance but they also rely on numerous non-timber forest products such as firewood, tubers, indiginous medicinal plants and bamboo. The community also relises that forest is vital to regularise rainfall and maintain the perennial nature of small streams. In 2005 the Village was awarded with Prakriti Mitra, an honor in recognition of their efforts to protect the forest.
