The Olani Village, composed mainly of the Bhil tribal community, has been protecting their forest for a long time and their conservation measures reflect their culture and tradition. Majority of their festivals are organized on the banks of the river. The community believes that their river will dry or disappear in absence of the forest. They takes special measures to conserve their Village forest, which in turn is helping them conserve their culture and traditions. The Olani Village Forest Protection Committee was formed in 1990 to regularize the conservation process. The committee has also formed its own bye-laws for forest protection.
